Palawa is a walled town situated in an unknown location. It was one of many of the demon ruled towns before the people overthrew their ruler and now rule themselves.
History[]
At some point after the world wide demon upheaval, Palawa was overtaken by the demon Princess Locke.
Locke ruled Palawa's citizens through intimidation and fear, forcing them to do her bidding and pay prodigious taxes. Her demon sentinels watched over the people, making sure they were stricken with fear.
Some time later, Pigsy came to Palawa and offered his services to Locke while pretending to be a demon. For years he worked for her, doing things he'd rather forget.
Between then and the present, Sandy came to Palawa and made herself home in the underground sewer systems.
The Scholar visited Palawa at some point and made contact with Sandy, and told her that one day a monk named Tripitaka would appear before her and asked her to help him on his quest.[1]
Present time, Tripitaka made her way to Palawa after the death of her adoptive father, she worked at the tavern.[2]
The Font Demon stopped at Palawa, before he headed back to the Jade Mountain with the Monkey King's crown. He had a meal at the Tavern, this allowed Tripitaka to steal the crown and free Monkey. While searching for Tripitaka, the Font Demon went on a rampage, destroying the town and injuring many civilians. He killed four monks and chases Tripitaka out of the town.[2]
Princess Locke has Pigsy does damage control and tells him to find the Font Demon. Instead they are alerted to presence of Monkey in the tavern. Pigsy
Soon after a battle between Locke's army and the gods, Pigsy gave a hopeful speech to the people. The army surrendered and the people of Palawa arrested Princess Locke and claimed Palawa as their own.[3]

- Monastery: A small religious building that was home to a group of monks.
- Palace of Palawa: This palace is situated above the city, connected to a rocky mountain. The Palace was once home to Pigsy and Princess Locke. From the palace, the entire city could be seen. The army also settled in the Palace. After Locke was arrested, the people took over the Palace.
