The Sacred Scrolls are powerful scriptures kept by the Gods. There are seven scrolls in total.

History[]

500 years ago, at the assistance of the Master, Monkey took the scrolls and hid them around the world to keep them out of the hands of demons. Each scroll had a note attached to them that read: "Guard with your life."

Davari using the Scroll of Immortality

500 years ago, Monkey dropped the scroll down into Mountain of Fruit and Flowers. The clan that found the scroll made a promise to protect the sacred scroll and would later be known as the Monkey Clan. For generations, they kept the scroll safe by cultivating and maintaining a series of traps throughout the forest so that no one could find it on foot.

However, at some point, Affe's family sold the scroll to the demon Davari for a lot of coin without telling anyone else in the clan. So the Monkey Clan continued to protect an empty container.

Davari spent decades trying to translate the scroll, due to it being written in an ancient language that demons can’t decode. He would bring gods to Jade Mountain in order for them to translate the scroll.

Scroll of Knowledge[]

The Librarian has protected the scroll for 500 years

500 years ago, Monkey dropped the Scroll of Knowledge down the chimney of a librarian. The scroll gave her a long life and the knowledge to protect it. The scroll inspired the librarian to build an infinite archive filled with immense knowledge.

The Scroll of Creation[]

Five centuries ago, Mycelia became the guardian of the Scroll of Creation. It granted her a longer life, which she clung onto desperately, to the extent of creating a fake Scroll of Creation. While it was imbued with real power, the scroll itself was corrupted and the use of it would come with potentially fatal consequences. The real Scroll of Creation remained hidden under a tree for 500 years. A tree grew around it following the fall of Jade Mountain.
