Season 1The Edge of NowhereSandy attacks a Font Demon disguised as a child. After losing his trail, she returns and takes Tripitaka to her lair. She asks Tripitaka who she is, to which she replies that she’s merely a monk, but Sandy isn’t convinced. Sandy asks again why Tripitaka is in Palawa and who she is. When she reveals her name, Sandy bows down to her. The scholar told her that one day a monk named Tripitaka would appear and that Sandy was to help him. Despite Sandy’s appearance, she is not a demon, rather a God. They are found by Monkey, who mistakes her for a demon and chokes her with his staff. Tripitaka asks him to stop. She recites it a chant, which appears to Monkey pain. He releases Sandy. Unfortunately, they’ve been found by Locke’s guards, who pump gas into Sandy’s lair, forcing the three of them to flee out of a back entrance. On in a safe area, he tells them about the seven scrolls, each hidden in a different continent. Monkey tries calling his cloud again, but it doesn’t appear. So they hitch a ride with Pigsy, who disguises himself as an ordinary villager. Once they get into the back of his carriage, he locks them inside and joins the Font Demon. The Journey BeginsSandy and Monkey awaken in a cell with collars around their neck, chaining them to the walls. Sandy tells him that the prison was built to hold gods. Sandy notices a crack in the wall of the cell. Behind Locke’s palace is a waterfall. Given Sandy’s elemental power to control water, she might be able to direct pressure from the waterfall through the crack of the cell, however, rather than a waterfall, she only finds a sewer pipe. Monkey asks Sandy why she didn’t leave town. Sandy reveals that she was born into a world where gods didn’t exist. All she ever knew was hiding. She did it so long that she couldn’t see any other way. She then asks Monkey if he’s ever been in love, but he doesn’t want to answer. With Pigsy’s help, Tripitaka breaks Monkey and Sandy free from their cell. Locke arrives at the cell to find them escaping. They find themselves surrounded by the Font Demon and Locke, forcing them into a fight. Monkey takes out the Font Demon whilst Sandy and Pigsy dispatch Locke and her guards. Sandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Pigsy then set off on their journey west to recover the sacred scrolls. The Monkey King ReturnsSandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Pigsy travel to the Mountain of Fruit and Flowers for the first sacred scroll. Having travelled for days, they take a dip in the lake. All except Tripitaka, who they still believe to be a boy monk. They’re suddenly ambushed by a group of bandits, with the leader, Affe, claiming to be the Monkey King. He claims they protect the King’s relics from demons. Monkey defeats Affe with little difficulty and reveals that he’s ,in fact, the Monkey King. Affe and the Monkey Clan chant his name. Sandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Pigsy are lead by Affe, Jiro, and Bobbo on the path to the sacred scroll. They come across the ancient fire wasps. It’s up to Bobbo to disarm the trap. He disables the first trap but trips the second trap. While the others fend off the wasps, Affe takes Tripitaka to recover the scroll. He offers her a drink from his bottle, which he claims to mix with forest herbs for maximum hydration. Sandy, Monkey, Pigsy, Jiro, and Bobbo arrive at a shrine, which contains the scroll, but it is guarded by automatic spears that pierce upward from within the ground. Monkey binds his staff to Sandy’s staff and Pigsy’s rake in hopes of using it to retrieve the scroll. However, the pikes suddenly stop moving, allowing them to walk over to the shrine and grab the scroll, only to discover that the case is empty. Affe returns and reveals that his family sold the scroll to a demon generations ago. Affe declares himself the one, true Monkey King and orders Monkey to kill Tripitaka. He performs the chant but nothing happens. Sandy explains that the chant will only work for those righteous and pure of heart. Affe then trips and falls onto a spike. Afterwards, Jiro and Bobbo lead them on the path out of the Mountains. The Breaking GroundWhile preparing a meal at their camp site, Sandy and Pigsy start to hear music. They are placed in a trance and taken by Raxion and placed in the breaking ground by the Shaman. Sandy, Monkey, and Pigsy awaken in Monica’s tavern. She tells them to eat up and get ready for the best night of their lives. Everything is on the house. Monica asks if they like games. Sandy and Pigsy admit that they do. In the first round, Monica offers up two bags of gold and a wagon full of town goodies. Monica tells them that it’s a memory game; all they have to do is write down the things they remember. She tells them to translate the God’s language. Sandy and Pigsy are engulfed in the game, but Monkey refuses to write. Sandy, Monkey, and Pigsy suddenly realize that Lior is gone, but then the fourth round commences. Monica claims that Lior went home and asks Monkey to step up. Monkey then reveals that he doesn’t know how to read the gods’ language. He never learned. After realizing that Pigsy is missing, Monkey walks towards the door. He tells Sandy that he’s innocent and needs to go back and find him. Sandy asks who he is going back to find. She then hears Tripitaka telling her to wake up. After successfully waking up Sandy and Pigsy, Tripitaka tries to wake Monkey up but he remains asleep. A Crown Does Not Make You KingTripitaka continues her best effort to wake Monkey up. Pigsy and Sandy notice Shaman and Raxion leading in more demons. Tripitaka performs the chant, which puts her inside of Monkey’s mind. Both Monkey and Tripitaka awaken soon thereafter. Monkey gets to his feet and takes down the demon warriors one-by-one. He then uses his staff to break free of the seal, allowing Tripitaka, Sandy, Pigsy, and himself to escape. Until I Met YouSandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Pigsy flee from the Shaman and Raxion. They enter Kin territory. While escaping persecution, Tripitaka is separated from the group; taken by one of the Kin. The three of them go looking from her. Tripitaka has been saved by Gwen. Monkey and Tripitaka recognize her from his trial. She offers to lead them out of the forest. They find themselves surrounded by the Kin, forced into combat. Pigsy gets lured into a spider web while Sandy is knocked to the ground. Gwen warns them that their adversaries are trying to divide them. The Kin then shoot a dart into Tripitaka’s leg and retreat. Tripitaka collapses soon thereafter. Sandy is certain that Tripitaka will be fine. By tomorrow, they’ll be out of the forest and searching for the other scrolls. Pigsy wonders if the resistance will welcome them after finding out that Monkey was responsible for the demons destroying the world. Gwen claims that the resistance already knows and they simply want a way to stop the demons. Sandy then asks about Tripitaka. Gwen assures her that Tripitaka will live. Pigsy, Monkey, Tripitaka, Sandy, and Gwen near the edge of the forest. They can hear the Kin approaching. Gwen takes cover with Tripitaka while Monkey, Sandy, and Pigsy each take on a Kin. Sandy kills a Kin after launching her double-bladed axe into its chest. Afterward, they reconvene to find Gwen dying from poison. She tells Monkey to protect Tripitaka at all costs. A Part of You That's MissingSandy, Monkey, and Pigsy awaken to find Tripitaka gone, leaving nothing behind but a letter. Sandy wants to go after her, but Monkey wants to go to Jade Mountain to stop whoever is collecting the scrolls. Sandy tells Monkey and Pigsy to head towards Jade Mountain to track down the scrolls while she follows Tripitaka. They’re to meet outside of the palace in two day’s time. Sandy tracks Tripitaka down. She reveals that Monkey was rather upset about her departure. Tripitaka is heading north and doesn’t want Sandy to ask why. They arrive at the North Water. Tripitaka is looking for her family. She asks around, but no one seems to pay her much attention. Sandy advises her to take a different approach. So, Tripitaka stands on top of a barrel and quotes the letter that her mother wrote. A woman takes notice but runs off into the trees. Tripitaka reveals to Sandy that she’s neither a monk nor Tripitaka. The real Tripitaka was killed by a demon. Sandy argues that Tripitaka has done everything that someone with her name was supposed to do, from awakening Monkey to journeying west for the scrolls. Tripitaka recalls Gwen telling her that she had to make a choice and that the girl in Tripitaka’s mother’s letter couldn’t be the one to journey west. Sandy doesn’t believe it was a coincidence that Tripitaka’s mother left her at the scholar’s doorstep. They track the woman down. She has two daughters and reveals that they are Tripitaka’s sisters. Meera introduces herself to Tripitaka and Sandy. Her daughters are Ilbryn and Brylana. Meera thought about coming back for Tripitaka many times, but she was certain that Tripitaka would have a better life with Scholar, which she did. Sandy wonders why Meera came back to the North Water. Meera claims after they fled the raids, their plan was to head to the Gandara Sea. But her mother became ill. She wanted to return to the place of her birth before she died. However, Sandy is skeptical, so Tripitaka recommends that she go look after the children. Ilbryn and Brylana ask Sandy if she’s ever been to the Gandara Sea. They claim they’re going soon. Admittedly, Sandy had never been. They then ask if she knows any games. Sandy proposes they play a game where she asks a question and they answer truthfully. She asks how long they’ve lived in the North Water. Brylana replies not long, while Ilbryn tells her to keep quiet and explains that her sister is mistaken. Sandy questions how Meera can afford such a place on her own. Meera claims that she fishes. However, Sandy knows that there aren’t any fishes in the river and questions if Ilbryn and Brylana are even truly her daughters. As Sandy continues to accuse Meera of being a liar, Tripitaka demands that she stop as she’s scaring the girls. Tripitaka wants Sandy to let her go, though Sandy insists that Meera is a liar. Sandy warns Tripitaka of being betrayed by her own emotions. Sandy reveals that she didn’t always live in the sewer. She grew up in a fishing village. One day, when she was not much older than Ilbryn and Brylana, her father took her out onto the boat. She was trying to drop the anchor when she fell into the water. To her surprise, she didn’t drown. She found the stillness of the sea quite comforting. That was the beginning of her transformation. She started to hear the cries of the creatures that they’d caught in their nets. All day and into the night, she heard them scream. Until, one day, she couldn’t bear it any longer. She decided to cut them loose. It wasn’t long before her family found out. Her father took her out in the middle of the night so as not to upset her brothers and sisters. They drove for a whole day until he stopped by the side of the road, sat her down, told her that she was a demon, and that, for the sake of her entire family, she should never return to the village. She cried until there was nothing left to cry. For the longest time, she used to think they really believed she was a demon. And then she realized that people believe what they want to believe. Sandy wishes Tripitaka well and leaves. In Search of TripitakaSandy sits alone in the woods near a fire. She arrives at the Jade Mountain and takes out several guards. She steals their armor in order to infiltrate the palace. A Hero to Save Us AllSandy, disguised as a guard, asks Silver and Oak if they’ve seen any strangers hiding out. They claim they haven’t and spit at the ground. She crosses paths with the Shaman, who mistakes her for a guard. He questions who she is. Sandy replies that she’s "Sandborg. The guard." Tripitaka hides inside a cell, where she finds Davari’s sentinel demons on standby. Sandy then joins her after taking out a guard. Rather than killing the demons, Tripitaka wants to wake them up. Tripitaka fails to awaken the sentinel demons. Sandy remarks that it’s a magic spell, which requires ingredients. Tripitaka recalls what Lior said about giving her the means of control, referring to the lock of god hair that she recovered. She throws it into the fire and awakens the Font Demon as well as the other sentinels. Sandy and Tripitaka arrive at the banquet with Font Demon and a small army of sentinels. A battle ensues. Sandy and Pigsy hold off the remaining demons whilst Monkey searches for Tripitaka and Davari. Sandy and Pigsy find Davari just as he completes the spell; the first demon to achieve immortality. However, they’re more concerned with Monkey and Tripitaka who went falling into the abyss. Sandy and Pigsy look over the cliff, and to their surprise, Monkey is riding his cloud with Tripitaka. Davari incapacitates them. Shaman then activates one of the suction devices that engulfed Tripitaka’s home. She grabs it and throws it at Davari. It latches onto his chest and imprisons him inside. He struggles to fight his way out, but instead goes flying off the balcony. Season 2Graveyard of the GodsSandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Pigsy are being hunted by Kimura and a an army of demons after killing Davari and escaping with the Immortality Scroll. The others stay behind to fight off the demons whilst Tripitaka tries to escape with the scroll. Kimura chases her down and grabs the scroll. Monkey knocks him to the ground, and he and Tripitaka escape with the gods they rescued from Davari. Monkey fails to retrieve the Scroll from the Infinite Archive on his own. His hands are removed by a Scribe guarding the Archive. Tripitaka is reluctant to use the Immortality Scroll to regenerate Monkey’s hand, but they don’t have any other option, so they start by searching for a pepper bud flower. Whilst Monkey, Tripitaka, and Sandy search for the flower, Pigsy is on guard. They cross paths with a woman named Mycelia, who explains that the forest has special herbs that can’t be found anywhere else. She reveals that they’re standing in the Graveyard of the Gods. Pigsy arrives with the flower. Mycelia tells him that he shouldn’t have picked a pepper bud flower. One has to pull it up by the roots. A mist-like substance leaves the flower, and the four of them suddenly start to sneeze before passing out. Mycelia shows Sandy and Pigsy how plants are fertilized. She then presents them with a seed, claiming that the plant that sprouts from it will one day save Pigsy's life before handing it over to Sandy. Once Monkey’s hands have been restored, he, Tripitaka, Sandy, and Pigsy journey to the Archive of Infinite Scrolls, where Scribe guards the entry. He uses a spell to attack them with knives, arrows, hammers, stones, and wind. Monkey launches his staff at the Scribe and knocks him down. Scribe apologies and allows them entry. Sandy dropped the seed during the attack. She recovers it and tells Pigsy that she wants to see this through and wants to know that she’s capable of keeping the plant alive. They enter the Archive. The door locks behind them and eventually disappears all together. Quest for KnowledgeSandy and Pigsy seem concerned with the seed that is said to save his life one day. Sandy waters it with her finger to ensure it stays hydrated. Pigsy sings to the seed, explaining that it’s positive reinforcement to encourage growth. As Sandy and Pigsy argue over what’s best for the seed, the Librarian comes by and tells them to keep quiet. She shushes them, and they suddenly find their hands glued to their lips and unable to talk. Sandy and Pigsy attempt to explain that they can’t talk. When Monkey demands that the Librarian free his friends of her spell, she does the same to Monkey — forcing his hand to his lips, making him unable to speak. Tripitaka quietly explains that they’re looking for the sacred scrolls. Tripitaka asks which one she has. The Librarian replies with a riddle: "It is the answer to every question you’ve got. When you think you have it, you have it not." She leaves and suddenly Monkey, Sandy, and Pigsy can talk again. Tripitaka discovers that the answer is knowledge, meaning they’re looking for the Scroll of Knowledge. A door then opens behind them. They follow the Librarian to a room filled with color-coded warrior statues. She reads the next riddle: "After the reign of chaos, there is order in the heavens." The statues come alive, proving too powerful for the gods to attack. Tripitaka recalls the riddle and realizes that the warriors have to be defeated in the right order. She adds that it’s the same order of the rainbow and so Sandy, Monkey, and Pigsy attack according to each warrior's color. The Librarian reads the next riddle: "They can make you laugh or make you cry. You rant run from them, or even hide. You all become one when you die." They are confronted by the Demon Queen Hakuru despite Monkey previously killing her. She charges towards them with her sword. Sandy realizes that the answer to the riddle is "Memories." With that, Hakuru disintegrates. The four of them proceed further into the Archive, where they find a peach. The Librarian reveals the riddle: "A peach. Just a peach. It is a peach." Sandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Pigsy closely analyze the peach. They are joined by Cranius, who reveals the answer to the riddle of the peach. She takes them to the closed reserve. Monkey faces off with Cranius. She spells Tripitaka, Sandy, and Pigsy’s mouth shut before reading the final riddle: "The Scroll of Knowledge is in this very room. Take the wrong one home and your head goes boom." While Cranius searches, Monkey is only interested in his reflection from the mirror scroll. Cranius believes that the Scroll of Knowledge is the blank scroll and leaves with it. Sandy and Pigsy attack, but he predicts their move, knocking them down, as well as Tripitaka. Monkey claims that Cranius left with the wrong scroll and that the real Scroll of Knowledge is the mirror scroll, but Tripitaka realizes that the Librarian actually has the Scroll of Knowledge in her hand. They retrieve the Scroll of Knowledge and leave for the next scroll. Village of Lost ChildrenThey continue their journey for the next sacred scroll. They reach a village, where they learn that the villagers are being hassled by the squid demon, Lady Tsumori. Sandy lies awake at night and decides to take the plant for a walk. She comes face-to-face with Tsumori, who disguises herself as fishwife, a village woman. Once Sandy leaves, Tsumori takes her appearance. She then sneaks up behind the real fishwife and locks her in a chest. They awaken the following morning as Sandy is accused of stealing children in the night, but they insist they're innocent. As Tripitaka and Sandy walk through the village, Sandy discovers that kids are drawing frightening pictures of her. She questions why. Tripitaka reveals to Monkey, Sandy, and Pigsy that they’ve been trapped. She was warned by a young boy after seeing Sandy’s doppelgänger. She shows them the Fangkris blade he gave her, forged from the teeth of dragons with a poison tip. Tripitaka wants to escape, but Sandy refuses to leave without finding the children first. Sandy notices a trail of black goo leading to the well, where she realizes that the fishwife is the kidnapper. Another child then goes missing — Omari. Monkey arranges a search party while Sandy searches for the fishwife. Sandy enters the fishwife’s tent to find the real fishwife trapped in a trunk. Sandy releases her. She reveals that it was Sandy, or at least someone who looked like her that imprisoned her. Sandy follows Tsumori into the well. Tsumori claims that the children are dead, but Sandy doesn’t believe her. Tsumori then transforms into Sandy and says that no one loves her. Sandy hears one of the children scream out for help. So, she launches her double bladed axe into the back of Tsumori and kills her, and then rescues the missing children while also recovering the scrolls. After returning to the village with the missing children, the fishwife has sent messengers to all the Rivertowns, telling them how Sandy defeated Tsumori. She’ll be greeted with hospitality all along the river. Puppet MasterSandy, Tripitaka, Monkey, Kaedo, and Pigsy travel through the Valley of Despair in search for the Scroll of Creation. Mothrax releases a gas that makes Sandy, Tripitaka, Monkey, and Pigsy overly affectionate. While they’re distracted with each other, Mothrax retrieves the Scrolls of Immortality and Knowledge. However, when Sandy sprays Tripitaka, Monkey, and Pigsy with water, the potion wears off. As Mothrax escapes with the sacred scrolls, Hagfish trips her and binds her with rope. Tripitaka, Monkey, Sandy, Kaedo, and Pigsy arrive, and Hagfish pretends to be a helpless victim. He claims that he’s a puppeteer who only desires to create a puppet show about a legendary hero such as Monkey. He then offers to lead them to the road. Tripitaka awakens Sandy, Monkey, Pigsy from their sleep to inform them the scrolls are missing. Pigsy suspects it’s Hagfish, but he controls Tripitaka into saying that it was Kaedo who stole the scrolls. They find the scrolls under his pillow and force him to leave. They come to a crossroads. Pigsy would like to part ways with Hagfish, but Tripitaka comes to his offense and tells Pigsy to clear obstacles ahead. Monkey and Sandy are unsure of what to do and start to suspect that Pigsy is right and that Tripitaka isn’t herself. They ask Tripitaka about the scrolls, but she hasn’t a clue what they’re referring to as she’s being controlled by Hagfish, who then notices Kaedo watching them and claims that he’s after the scroll. Sandy and Monkey chase after Kaedo, who has circled back and catches Hagfish in the process of killing Tripitaka. Gorm arrives soon thereafter with Pigsy, who is barely conscious. Monkey reaches for his staff but Gorm has it. Without his staff, Monkey and Sandy battle against Gorm. Tripitaka notices that Kaedo has disappeared. She then uses Mothrax' love gas, forcing Gorm and Hagfish to flee with the scrolls. Finding ParadiseSandy, Monkey, and Tripitaka wheel Pigsy on a cart. Sandy’s plant starts to wither as they continue down the path to the Scroll of Creation. However, it starts to bloom as they head down the right path, the path that'll save Pigsy. The flower leads them to Mycelia, who heals Pigsy. In the garden, Sandy meets a man named Timothee, who plays the guitar. She lays in a field with him. He asks what’s wrong as she becomes anxious. She then remembers that they’re supposed to be on a quest for the scrolls. Sandy finds Tripitaka with two of the village girls and reminds her of the scrolls. Tripitaka appears to be in some kind of trance, but Sandy awakens her from it by reminding Tripitaka of Kaedo. Tripitaka and Sandy find Monkey, who is being treated like a celebrity by the villagers. They try to get him to remember their mission, but he has the guards take them away. In hopes of forcing Monkey to remember, Tripitaka performs the Headache Sutra, which causes him to regain his memory and join Tripitaka and Sandy. Sandy, Tripitaka, and Monkey find the Scroll of Creation, but they are confronted by Mycelia. She refuses to willingly give them the scroll and calls her “children” to defend it. They discover her children are actually mushroom people/fungal creatures. With the death of each one, Mycelia feels heartache. As Monkey fights off the mushroom people, Sandy demands that Mycelia release the scroll as Tripitaka can’t seem to retrieve it from inside the tree. Tripitaka calls out to the Scroll of Creation and summons a saw to cut the scroll free, however, she hurts her hand in the process. In retrieving the scroll, Mycelia disappears. Sandy goes to free Pigsy while Monkey and Tripitaka escape. GladiatorsSandy and Pigsy find themselves surrounded by demons. Sandy herself pretends to be a demon — Lady Wrathbone of Hell’s Kitchen and Pigsy her cook slave. She orders Quiver and the other demons to bind Pigsy to a tree. She claims that she’s come to offer her services to Khan’s army. She explains to Pigsy that she wants to use them to find Monkey. They arrive at a camp, where they spot Monkey and Tripitaka. Quiver helps Sandy and Pigsy station their food cart. She sees Monkey and Tripitaka walk pass and wants to be stationed nearby Khan's tent. As Monkey and Tripitaka exit their tent, Sandy, under her ruse as Lady Wrathbone, demands that they help her and Pigsy serve gruel. Tripitaka takes off the boots she summoned with the scroll to see that both of her feet are infected. Sandy returns Tripitaka’s boots. It spent four hours in a cook’s fire but they’re still perfectly good. The scroll may be a decoy, but it is powerful. MasterchefSandy, Monkey, Tripitaka, Kaedo, and Pigsy plot their next move. Kaedo reveals that the rebels have gathered at Lion Heart Rock. But Tripitaka and Monkey want to see what is inside the gold envelope Mothrax brought to Khan from Gorm. They then watch as Dreglon is apprehended for drinking and sleeping on duty. Tripitaka wishes to destroy the corrupt Scroll of Creation. Sandy puts it in the fire for several hours but it doesn’t even have so much as a mark. Valet enters, he tells Tripitaka to leave, and informs Pigsy that Khan wants only him to serve her meals moving forward. Quiver enters the tent and tells Sandy that his men are hungry. She tells him that she’s cooking for Khan and he leaves. To top off the soldiers’ gruel, Sandy adds Bane of trousers, a poison known to sicken any man. Khan prepares to execute Monkey, Kaedo, and Pigsy. However, the stew prepared by Sandy causes the guards’ stomachs to bubble, rendering them useless. Sandy arrives and attacks Khan before freeing Monkey, Kaedo, and Pigsy. Tripitaka arrives with Monkey's staff. They stop Gorm and escape. The Real TripitakaAfter taking out Dreglon's men, they are taken to Lion Heart Rock by Monica, where they learn that Gaxin is alive. He takes Sandy, Monkey, and Pigsy before the rebellion and prays for them to be led to victory. Monkey then begins training the rebels who have little to no fighting ability. Gaxin inquires about Sandy’s unique ability to affect water. Given that the human body is mostly made up of water, she is capable of doing great things. Gaxin asks that she close her eyes and tells her to picture flowing water and her instructing its actions. In following his instructions, Sandy causes all the rebels to cry. After taking Kaedo’s compass, Tripitaka glues one of Hagfish’s pins to the back of her neck as if she’s under his control. With Sandy’s help in diverting the guards, Tripitaka puts a tracker in Dreglon armor and sets him free. She claims to be Hagfish and tells Dreglon to return to him. Sandy and Pigsy accompany Tripitaka as she tracks Dreglon. Monkey joins them and Kaedo parts ways. The Spider WebSandy, Tripitaka, Monkey, and Pigsy have tracked Dreglon to the Broken Temple. Monkey reveals that god powers don’t work at the Broken Temple. Before he killed Demon Queen Hakuru, she put a curse over the temple. They enter the Broken Temple and sneak past the guards. They are spotted by Mothrax. Pigsy lights a fire, and she transforms into a moth and flies directly into the flame. After Monkey and Tripitaka fail to retrieve the scrolls from Hagfish, Pigsy tries to distract Hagfish long enough for Sandy to grab the scrolls, but he strings Pigsy up as well, and Sandy runs face first into a wall having forgotten that she no longer has her powers. Sandy, Tripitaka, Monkey, and Pigsy are strung up in the chamber. Tripitaka blames Monkey for ruining the plan. Hagfish intends to create an evil god. He lowers Monkey down and takes a lock of hair. He attaches the hair to a Monkey doll and places the doll inside a barrel of black goo in hopes of creating an evil version of Monkey with the corrupt Scroll of Creation. Gorm returns with Monica in hand. Monkey kicks him to the ground and Monica removes the pins. As she attempts to remove the final pin, Gorm kills her. With a single pin remaining in Gorm, Cranius decides to remove it. Gorm is free of his control. Shadow Monkey intervenes. As he and Gorm battle, Monkey, Tripitaka, Sandy, and Pigsy escape with all the immortality and knowledge scrolls. Shadow BoxingSandy, Tripitaka, Monkey, and Pigsy discuss their next move. Monkey proposes they ask where to find the real Tripitaka. The scroll tells them to travel to where earth, wind, fire, and water meet. Tripitaka suspects that it must be the Burnt Sands. However, they find themselves near a village under attack by Hagfish and Shadow Monkey. Sandy, Tripitaka, and Pigsy catch up to Monkey, who is face-to-face with Shadow Monkey. He has grown tired of taking orders from Hagfish and kills him. He now looks to Monkey to kill Tripitaka. When Monkey refuses, Shadow Monkey departs on his own. They find Gaxin. Admittedly, he ruined everything. They tell him that he can redeem himself by leading them to the Scroll of Creation. But they’re going to camp out in the woods for the night and make way for Burnt Sands at day break. Sandy, Tripitaka, Monkey, Gaxin, and Pigsy travel to the Burnt Sands, where they are greeted by Mycelia, who is the Guardian of the Scroll of Creation. She reveals the scroll is beneath the tree. Gaxin crawls inside but he can’t reach the scroll. Mycelia traps Gaxin inside and declares that the scroll belongs to her. For 500 years, she’s tended to her garden and refuses to allow them to take it. If she hands over the scroll then she will perish. While Pigsy helps Gaxin, Monkey, Tripitaka, and Sandy fight off the fungal creatures and Timothee. Shadow Monkey arrives. Mycelia reveals that the only way to destroy the Shadow Scroll is to fly it into the sun. Monkey hands the Scroll of Immortality and Knowledge over to Tripitaka and flies away on his cloud. With the Shadow Scroll, Monkey flies into the sun and kills Shadow Monkey. Tripitaka pleads with Mycelia to give her the Scroll of Creation. Mycelia does so and dies. With the scroll, Tripitaka wants to bring Monkey back, but Gaxin warns Tripitaka of the consequences of her actions. He tells her that the world needs her much more than it needs him. He then chants the ancient language before dying. |
Personality
Season 1
Sandy is very quirky but caring and compassionate. She has a great sense of humor and a selfless ego. She was able to come out to Tripitaka about her childhood trauma and neglect. She also has an unbreakable bond with the god Pigsy. From the beginning, Sandy was very strange. due to her odd looks, and personality, she was mistaken as a demon. She later explained herself to both Monkey and Tripitaka. She was very quiet, only talking when told to and asked questions. In The Breaking Ground, she is very quirky, obeying Monica and playing the game. She says that "she wants to win" bugging Monkey on and is shocked when he reveals to her he does not know the God language. She eats the chocolate covered apples so gluttonously and wants the prizes so bad she falls for the Shaman's tricks. But she is the first to leave the Mind trap after hearing Tripitakas voice. when Tripitaka was poisoned, she was very scarce. She moved around nervously and continued to ask Gwen if Tripitaka would get better. When she finds out Tripitaka is a girl, she is not very surprised, saying that there was. something odd about Tripitaka. She tries to hint to Tripitaka that Meera was lying. After Tripitaka snaps at her, Sandy opens up about her past. She tells her why she became so soft and quiet. Her parents rejected her as a child because they thought of her as a demon. She would hear the cries of fish every night and it would haunt her. Sandy leaves Tripitaka sadly, disappointed in her friend. Willingly hopeful, she does not give up on Tripitaka. She searches all of Jade Mountain for her, knowing her friend will come back. She becomes more cheerful and bubbly again when fighting the demons. While Pigsy is exhausted she comes and asks him "Let's finish this, shall we."
Season 2
Sandy somewhat has the same personality in Season 2. She becomes more devoted to Tripitaka as a leader and less as a friend. In The Real Tripitaka, Sandy is the first one to find Tripitaka and confirm her loyalty to her friend. We learn that she thinks she is just "normal." Gaxin teaches her of her powers, and it's then she learns she can control emotions. This makes her very happy. She is also keener in Season 2. In Finding Paradise, she is the first one to realize what Mycelia has done to her and her friends and snaps out of it. She is able to snap Tripitaka out of it as well. She accompanies PIgsy and looks for him, while the others go off. She somewhat stays the same, with the happy and bubbly personality that has enchanted the entire fandom. She cares a lot for her friends. She was the only one to search for Pigsy, and cried when Monkey sacrificied himself. She did not show any remorse for Kaedo. Sandy has not fully unlocked this ability. In the beginning of the series, Sandy could only ove and control water. She caused a whole crowd of people to cry, including her friends who are gods.
