The Scholar invites Gaxin and two warriors to his home and explains to them that the Monkey King wasn't destroyed by demons, instead he was imprisoned in stone in the very valley they are in now. The Scholar explains that Gaxin's mission is to help release Monkey, with the help of Monkey's crown and then find the sacred scrolls and bring them to the Western Mountain. Only with the scrolls can the demons be defeated.

The Scholar then gives Gaxin his new name, Tripitaka, a sacred name known only to the Gods. The name will let the Gods know that Gaxin is the choosen one. However, before Gaxin can begin his mission, a Font Demon strolls into his home and attacks the two warriors, beating them with ease. While Gaxin fights the demon, the Scholar places the crown in a small chest and hides it away in a hidden compartment in the wall. He then drags Tripitaka, the girl one, and hides her away as well.

The Scholar can only watch as the Font Demon leviates and chokes Gaxin, before killing him. The Scholar then grabs a sword from the wall and attacks the demon when he asks for the crown. The Font Demon ends up defeating the Scholar, as he lays on the floor dying the demon tells him that his Gods have desserted him and that the rebellion is meaningless.
