The Tavern is a bar owned by Monica located in Palawa.
History[]
At some point Monica became the owner of the Tavern.
Pigsy often dined here and received harsh comments from Monica, who loved to tease him.
When Tripitaka racked up debt within the Tavern, Monica offered to feed and board her as long as Tripitaka worked for the Tavern as a waitress, the cost would come out of her wage. Each time Tripitaka made a mistake or broke plates, Monica added to her debt.
Before making his way back to the Jade Mountain with the Monkey King's crown, the Font Demon - while disguised as someone else - stopped at the Tavern for a meal. Tripitaka used a lullaby to put the Font Demon to sleep and stole the crown. The demon awakens, chokes Monica and demands to know where the crown went. He speeds out of the Tavern after Tripitaka.
Monkey dined there with Tripitaka, before she left him on his own. Monkey ended up causing a fight with a group of mercenaries and destroying parts of the Tavern.
Monkey comes back to the Tavern later looking for the kidnapped Tripitaka and offers Monica one of his golden bracelets as payment for the repairs and information.
The Shaman used the familiarity of the Tavern to trap Monkey, Sandy and Pigsy within their own minds and to get them to translate the ancient language of the sacred scrolls.
